March Meetup Cancelled (but what a great reason)

We’ve decided to cancel March’s Third Wednesday meetup because…

  • the third Wednesday of this month (Mar 17) is falling on St. Patrick’s Day, so the Goggle/wherever else will likely be too busy for anyone to have a real discussion, etc., and since…
  • Digital Nova Scotia (used to be ITANS) has their TechLounge meetup (all are welcome) on the 18th, that Thursday night after work, which would be the first sensible postponement, is also out – and due to the fact that…
  • Twestival Halifax is happening the following Thursday the 25th, and we wouldn’t want to siphon anyone from that great event, and besides…
  • Halifax Startup Drinks is usually the last Wednesday (the 24th) of that month, taking out the other go-to postponement date.

On the upside: Halifax, it looks like we’re getting a pretty healthy, lively, and fun tech/media/marketing community – that’s fantastic to see and it’s because of all of you! There’s been so much growth in the past few years, it’s been incredible.

So let’s try to take part in some of these other great events and we’ll see everyone all rested up and ready for mingling and discussion on April 21st for the next Third Wednesday.

PS: We’ll keep the existing discussion poll open for that topic, so vote if you haven’t already – thanks!

Makes sense – looks like the second annual worldwide Twestival is going to be well represented in Halifax this year!

Please register for tickets here: http://www.amiando.com/Twestival2010_Halifax.html and enjoy a few drinks with other local Twestival supporters!

Note: Donations are not required but – 100% of all money donated goes directly to Concern Worldwide!

Hi all, we’d be delighted to have folks come out for the TechLounge on Thursday if they get a chance. We have a great cross-section of folks from the digital economy spectrum.

Hope to see some of you there.

    Cheers,
    Jason Powell
